The GRIP at the ESICM Lives 2016

Four abstracts were presented by the GRIP at the last ESICM edition in Milan; they mainly focused on mechanical ventilation and concerned a simplified procedure for in vivo calibration of the esophageal balloon catheter; a test of the accuracy of the waveform analysis for the assessment of  inspiratory efforts; the integration of a  real-time waveforms analysis in next-generation PSV to guide the cycling-off and the assessment of gas exchanges’ modification during whole lung lavage.
