A Global Survey on Whole Lung Lavage in Pulmonary Alveolar Proteinosis
Proteinosis is a rare respiratory syndrome characterized by the accumulation of lipoproteinaceous material in alveoli, which impairs oxygen uptake and causes respiratory failure.
Whole Lung Lavage is the only available treatment and we have the privilege to be among the selected centers around the world performing WLL regularly. In particular, we owe this practice to the dedication and experience of one of our senior consultants, Dr Rodi, and to the cooperation with our pulmologists.
